The Attracting Power of Likeness

Hell flees from the sincere
just as the sincere one flees
with all his soul from Hell,
because his light is not
compatible with the Fire.
The seeker of the Light
is really the opposite of the Fire.

It is related in the sayings of the Prophet
that when the sincere one seeks protection from Hell,
Hell also begs for protection from him,
saying, "God, keep him away from me!"

It is the attracting power of likeness:
what you're attracted to reveals who you are.
Now consider with whom you are congenial.
